Set checkout questions and the refund period
Choose what guests are asked when they buy and how long your normal refund period lasts.
Last checked 10 October 2026
Where to find it: Tickets → Selling settings, or console.parkstack.net/tickets?tab=settings.
Before you start: an owner can change these settings. Decide whether your team needs a guest’s name, phone number or postcode, and check the refund period in your published ticket terms.
Steps
- Open Tickets → Selling settings and find Checkout questions.
- Remember that Email is Always required, because Parkstack needs it to send tickets bought online.
- For Name, Phone and Postcode, choose Don't ask, Ask, not required or Required. Ask only for details your park needs.
- Choose Save & publish. The new questions appear the next time a guest starts buying tickets.
- Find Refund period on the same page.
- Choose No limit, one of the listed numbers of days, or Another number of days. If you choose another number, enter it under Days.
- Choose Save. The period is counted from the day the ticket was bought.
- Go to Website → Pages, open Ticket terms and make sure the wording matches the period you chose. The setting does not rewrite your terms for you.
What guests see
Guests always enter an email address. They see the other checkout questions according to the choices you saved.
The refund period is used in the console when your team handles a refund. After it ends, an owner can still refund from the order page but must give a reason. Guests agree to your published ticket terms, not to the setting on this page. Check your terms with your own adviser if you are unsure what they should say.
Things that stop it working
- Save & publish is not shown. Change one of the checkout choices first. The button appears when there is something to save.
- Another number is not accepted. Enter a whole number from 1 to 3650 under Days.
- A colleague cannot see Refund period. This setting is only shown to an owner.
- The website still asks an old question. Start a new checkout after the change. A checkout that was already open may still show the earlier questions.
