Sell tickets online: what you need first

Get the business, legal and payment details in place so guests can buy tickets on your website.

Last checked 10 October 2026

Where to find it: Tickets → Selling settings, or console.parkstack.net/tickets?tab=settings.

Before you start: an owner must finish this setup. Have your legal business name, company details if you are a company, VAT number if you are VAT-registered, public address, contact email and bank details ready.

Steps

  1. Open Tickets → Selling settings and check Online ticket shop and Ticket money. The Tickets page shows what is still missing, so you can work through one item at a time.
  2. Tick Guests can buy tickets here, then choose Open ticket shop. Turning this on does not let a guest pay until the rest of the setup is ready.
  3. Go to Park settings → Business details and enter the Business name guests are buying from.
  4. Answer Is the business a limited company or LLP? If you choose Yes, enter the Company number and choose where it is Registered in.
  5. Tick The business is VAT-registered only if that is true, then enter the VAT number. If it is not ticked, you do not need a VAT number.
  6. Go to Design → Branding and enter the park’s Address and Email, then choose Save & publish. Guests need a way to identify and contact the seller before they pay.
  7. Go to Website → Pages and check that Privacy and Ticket terms both say Published. If either is a draft, open it and choose Publish page.
  8. Return to Tickets → Selling settings. Follow any remaining links under Guests cannot buy tickets on your website yet.
  9. Under Ticket money, choose Set up ticket money, then choose Connect bank account and finish the secure setup. Parkstack does not see your bank sign-in details.
  10. Return to Tickets and check that Online ticket shop says Open and Ticket money says Ready. You still need at least one ticket on sale before a guest has something to buy.

What guests see

The ticket page becomes available when the online shop is on and the required business and legal details are ready. If the bank account is not ready, or no ticket is on sale, guests are told that tickets are not on sale online right now.

Things that stop it working

  • The missing-items list is still there. Open each link and save the details it asks for. A company needs both its company number and where it is registered.
  • The VAT number is missing. Enter it under Park settings → Business details, or untick The business is VAT-registered if the business is not registered for VAT.
  • Ticket money says Not ready. Open Bank account and choose Continue setup or Update details. Guests cannot complete a card payment until the connection is ready.
  • The ticket page has nothing to buy. Add a ticket, or open an existing ticket and choose Put on sale.
