Add food and drink, and shops and facilities

Give places to eat, shops and useful facilities their own entries on your website.

Where to find it: Website → Food & drink at console.parkstack.net/dining, and Website → Shops & facilities at console.parkstack.net/facilities.

Before you start: owners and editors can add these places. Have a name, a short description and a photo ready. Keep food and drink in its own list, and shops, toilets, first aid and other facilities in theirs.

Add a food or drink place

  1. Open Website → Food & drink and choose Add food or drink.
  2. Enter the Name, Page address, Summary and Description under The essentials. The summary helps guests scan the food and drink list.
  3. Choose its Type and Status under Details for guests.
  4. Enter details that help someone plan a meal, such as Cuisine, Location in the park and Opening note.
  5. Add photos under Photos and mark the one guests should see in the list as Thumbnail.
  6. Choose Publish food or drink place. Choose Save draft if it is not ready for guests.

Add a shop or facility

  1. Open Website → Shops & facilities and choose Add place.
  2. Enter the Name, Page address, Summary and Description under The essentials.
  3. Choose the right Type, such as Shop, Toilets or First aid, and choose its Status.
  4. Enter the Location in the park and an Opening note if they will help guests find or use it.
  5. Add photos under Photos and mark the listing photo as Thumbnail.
  6. Choose Publish shop or facility. Choose Save draft if you want to finish it later.

What guests see

Published food and drink places appear together at /explore/food-and-drink. Published shops and facilities appear in their own list at /plan-your-visit/shops-and-facilities, where shops are kept separate from other facilities. Each place also gets its own page. If a list has no published place that can be shown, the list and its menu link stay hidden.

Things that stop it working

  • A place is in the wrong public list. Check which console list you added it to. Move its details by creating it again under Food & drink or Shops & facilities, then remove the entry from the wrong list.
  • A place is not on the website. Open it and choose Publish food or drink place or Publish shop or facility. Drafts remain private.
  • A published place is missing from its list. Check its Status. Unlisted keeps its own page working but removes it from public lists.
  • The wrong photo appears in the list. Open the place, mark the right photo as Thumbnail, then choose Publish changes.
