Add an event
Publish an event, then feature it or count down to it from your homepage.
Last checked 10 October 2026
Where to find it: Website → Events, or console.parkstack.net/events.
Before you start: owners and editors can add events and change the homepage. Have the event dates, a short description and a photo ready.
Add the event
- Choose Add event.
- Enter the Name, Page address, Summary and Description under The essentials.
- Enter Starts and Ends using your park’s local date and time. The end must be after the start.
- Enter the Location if guests need help finding the event at Riverside Adventure Park.
- Add photos under Photos and mark the photo that should appear in event lists as Thumbnail.
- Choose Publish event. Choose Save draft if the details are not ready for guests.
Feature the event on your homepage
- Open Website → Homepage.
- Choose + Add a block, then choose Featured event.
- Choose the event under Which event. Choose The next one automatically if the block should always follow your next published event.
- Choose Publish changes when the homepage preview looks right. The block disappears when there are no upcoming events, so it will not leave an empty space.
Add a countdown
- Schedule the event from Publish at a set time so it appears as a countdown choice. The event stays private until that time.
- Open Website → Homepage, choose + Add a block, then choose Countdown.
- Choose the scheduled event under Counts down to. The countdown follows the event if you change its publishing time.
- Enter the Heading while counting and Heading when it ends.
- Enter the Button text when it ends. Parkstack sends that button to the event page once it is live.
- Choose Publish changes to put the countdown on the homepage.
What guests see
Current and upcoming events appear first on the events page. Past published events move into an archive, newest first. A Featured event block shows the event until it ends, then uses the next event. A Countdown block changes to its finished heading and links to the event when the scheduled publish happens.
Things that stop it working
- The event is not available under Which event. Publish it first and check that it has not ended. Only published events that are still running or coming up can be featured.
- The event is not available under Counts down to. Open the event and set Publish at a set time first.
- The homepage has not changed. Wait until it says Saved, not published, then choose Publish changes.
- No events appear on the website. Check that at least 1 event is published. The public events page stays hidden when there are none.
