Add a card reader
Pair a Stripe card reader with Parkstack so your box office can take card payments.
Last checked 10 October 2026
Where to find it: Park settings → Card readers, or console.parkstack.net/settings/card-readers.
Before you start: only an owner can add or remove readers. Connect the park’s bank account first. Put the reader on Wi-Fi and have its settings open. Parkstack supports Stripe Reader S700 or S710 and BBPOS WisePOS E countertop readers.
Steps
- Open the reader’s settings and choose Generate pairing code. This code tells Stripe which reader to add to your park.
- Enter the code under Pairing code in Parkstack.
- Enter a Name that staff will recognise, such as Front desk.
- Fill in Where the readers are if this is the park’s first reader. Enter the Address, Town or city and Postcode. Stripe needs the location once for its readers.
- Choose Add card reader.
- Check that the reader appears under Your readers with the status Online.
What box office staff see
The reader becomes a payment choice in the box office. Money goes through Stripe to the park’s connected bank account. A refund made to a Stripe card reader payment goes back to the guest’s card.
Things that stop it working
- Parkstack asks you to connect a bank account. Choose Go to Bank account and finish that setup first.
- The reader says Offline. Check that the reader is on and connected to Wi-Fi, then return to this page.
- The reader says Add again. Choose Remove, generate a new pairing code on the reader and add it again. This appears when the reader was added under an older payment mode.
- Staff cannot tell 2 readers apart. Choose Rename, enter a clearer name and choose Save.
