Upload and organise photos in Media
Keep your park’s photos and documents together, organised and ready to use on the website.
Last checked 11 October 2026
Where to find it: Design → Media, or console.parkstack.net/media.
Before you start: owners and editors can manage Media. Have the files you need ready, with short descriptions for photos that add useful information.
Upload files
- Choose Upload, then choose 1 or more files from your device. In an empty library, choose Choose files instead.
- Wait for Parkstack to say the upload is finished before leaving the page.
- Choose a photo to open File details.
- Enter a Name your team will recognise and choose Rename. Only your team sees this name.
- Enter a Description for screen readers if the photo adds meaning, then choose Save description. Leave it blank when the photo is decorative and adds nothing to the words around it.
Photos can be up to 8 MB. PDFs and documents can be up to 20 MB.
Use folders
- Choose New folder under Folders.
- Enter the Folder name, such as Thunder Run, then choose Create folder.
- Select the files you want to move and choose Move to, then choose the folder. On a computer, you can also drag files onto a folder.
- Choose Unfiled to find files that are not in a folder yet.
Deleting a folder does not delete its files. They move to Unfiled, so nothing is lost.
Let Parkstack file editor uploads
On a computer, choose File editor uploads to file uploads under the name of what you are editing. This covers attractions, food and drink places, shops and facilities, events, tickets, pages, the homepage and Branding. Parkstack creates the folder when it needs to. This keeps the library tidy without changing where the file appears on your website.
Find where a file is used
- Choose Where it’s used. On a phone, choose Where it’s used….
- Choose Homepage, Branding, a named attraction, food and drink place, shop or facility, event, page or ticket, or Not used anywhere.
- Choose a file to see its Used on count in File details.
This check matters before deleting a file. Removing a file that is in use also removes it from those places on the live website.
Bring back a deleted file
- Choose Recently deleted at the bottom of the Media library.
- Choose Bring it back beside the file.
- Add the file to the page or item again and publish that item if it was used on the website before.
Deleted files stay in Recently deleted for 30 days, then they are removed for good. Nobody can see them on your website while they are there. Choosing Bring it back returns a file to the library, but it does not put it back on the website by itself.
What guests see
Guests see a photo or document only where you use it on a published page, homepage or in Branding. Folders, file names and unused files are private to your team.
Things that stop it working
- A file will not upload. Check its type and size. Photos can be up to 8 MB, and PDFs and documents up to 20 MB.
- The upload button is unavailable. If the page says your plan has ended, the existing library is kept but new uploads stop until an owner chooses a plan.
- A file disappeared from the website. Check Recently deleted. Choose Bring it back, add it to the right place again and publish.
- A restored file is not back on its page. This is expected. Restoring returns it to Media only.
