Add a park map
Give guests a park map they can open on their phone or print before they visit.
Last checked 11 October 2026
Where to find it: Design → Branding, or console.parkstack.net/branding.
Before you start: only an owner can add or change the park map. Have a clear photo or PDF of the current map ready.
Steps
- Go to Park map.
- Choose Upload a map to add a photo or PDF from your device. To use a file that is already in the library, choose Choose a photo from Media or Choose a PDF from Media.
- Check that the right file appears under Park map. If you chose the wrong one, choose Remove and choose another file.
- Choose Save & publish.
The map stays private until you save. Uploading a new file adds it to Media, but it does not change the live park map until you choose Save & publish.
Add the map to the header
Parkstack adds map links beside your address and in the footer. If you also want it in the header:
- Open Design → Header.
- Choose + Add a link in the menu where it should appear.
- Choose Another web address… under What to link to.
- Enter Park map as the Link name and
/plan-your-visit/park-mapas the Link address. - Choose Add link.
Header changes go live as soon as you make them.
What guests see
Guests get a Park map page. A photo appears at full width with a link to open the full-size version. A PDF appears as a button guests can use to open it. Links also appear beside your park’s address and in the footer.
Things that stop it working
- The map page is missing. Return to Design → Branding and choose Save & publish after selecting the file.
- The file will not upload. Use a photo or PDF. Photos can be up to 8 MB and PDFs up to 20 MB.
- The old map still appears. Choose Upload a different map or choose another file from Media, then choose Save & publish.
- Removing the map also removed its links. This is expected after publishing. The file itself stays in Media unless you remove it there too.
