Move bookings to another day

Move a guest’s visit to a new date, or move everyone booked on a day the park has to close.

Last checked 29 October 2026

Where to find it: Tickets → Orders, or console.parkstack.net/orders. A whole day is moved from A closed day → Move a day's bookings on the same page.

Before you start: owners and managers can move one order. Only owners can move a whole day. Only tickets for a set date can move, and tickets already let in or refunded stay where they are. Check the new day is open on Opening hours first, because a closed day cannot be chosen.

Move one order

  1. Search for the order and choose its order number.
  2. Choose Change the visit date beside Tickets.
  3. If the order has tickets on more than one day, choose which day’s tickets to move under Move the tickets for.
  4. Choose the new day on the calendar. Each day shows how many places are left, and full or closed days are marked.
  5. Leave Email the guest their tickets with the new date ticked to send the guest their tickets again with the new date. The email tells them they can ask for a refund instead if the new day does not suit them.
  6. Choose the button with the new date, such as Move to Thursday 29 October.

The guest keeps the same tickets and QR codes, and the Scanner now expects them on the new day. The order’s What happened list shows the move, and Park settings → Activity records who made it.

Move a whole day’s bookings

Use this when the park has to close for a day, such as for bad weather or a power cut.

  1. Open Tickets → Orders as an owner, choose A closed day, then Move a day's bookings.
  2. Choose the Day affected. Parkstack shows how many tickets and orders are booked for it, and how many guests have no email address.
  3. Under Move them to, choose the new day.
  4. Leave Email guests their tickets with the new date ticked to email everyone who gave an address.
  5. Leave the box to close the day on Opening hours afterwards ticked, so no more tickets are sold for it and your website shows it as closed.
  6. Choose the button with the number of tickets and the new date, then confirm.

Tickets that cover more than one day and started on an earlier day are not moved with the day, because their other days may already have been used. They are listed under Multi-day tickets that also cover this day, each linked to its order, so you can move it, give a partial refund or leave it.

If guests would rather have their money back, choose Let staff refund this day instead at the top of the page (see Give a refund).

When it finishes, Parkstack lists the guests under Let these guests know yourself: their order has no email address, or their email could not be sent. Phone them, or tell staff at the gate. Choose Check the day again to see anything still booked on the day.

When the new day is nearly full

Parkstack warns you when moving the tickets would put more guests on the new day than its limit. An owner can choose Move them anyway if the park can take them. A manager needs to choose another day or ask an owner.

Things that stop it working

  • The new day is closed. Open it on Opening hours first, or choose another day.
  • The ticket is only valid between certain dates. Choose a day the ticket can be used on.
  • The order is not paid, or is fully refunded. Only paid orders can move.
  • Some orders appear under Not moved. Read the reason beside each one. Moving the day again picks up only what is left.
